新年伊始，受国际出版社爱思维尔（Elsevier）聘请，彭华新教授担任复合材料期刊《Composites Part B: Engineering》的联合主编（Co-Editor-in-Chief）；同时，彭华新教授正式卸任由他共同发起并创刊的《Composites Communications》共同主编一职。
在与出版社的沟通中，爱思维尔材料科学高级出版编辑 Rachel Garland写道：
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Prof. Hua-Xin Peng, having served 10 years as co-Editor in Chief on the journal （Composites Communications）. Thank you to Professor Peng for his dedication, having been with the journal since its launch, we are very grateful for his direction and guidance in growing the journal to its successful position it has today.”
提及Composites Communications期刊，彭华新教授回顾道：
“At this very moment, it echoes the time when we with Profs. Lin YE (Sydney) Limin ZHOU（HongKong) Zhong ZHANG（Beijing) and myself (Bristol) started to put together the proposal for the journal in 2013/4, endorsed by the Chinese Society for Composite Materials，the journal became one of the (if not the) quickest to get into SCI and receive its first Impact Factor.”
《Composites Part B》是Elsevier出版社旗下的复合材料主流期刊，专注于复合材料工程应用的前沿研究，在材料科学、工程学领域享有极高声誉，2025年影响因子为14.2。

Composites Part B: Engineering喜迎新联合主编！

我们很荣幸地宣布，中国杭州浙江大学的彭华新教授被任命为Composites Part B: Engineering的联合主编。
彭华新教授于2014年从英国布里斯托大学加入浙江大学材料科学与工程学院，担任复合材料方向教授。他于浙江大学取得工学学士学位（1990年）后，在哈尔滨工业大学获得了复合材料专业硕士学位（1993年）与博士学位（1996年）。彭教授将与另外两位联合主编——英国布里斯托大学复合材料研究所的Ole Thomsen教授及美国田纳西大学诺克斯维尔分校的Uday Kumar Vaidya教授共同执掌本刊。
Composites Part B: Engineering主要发表复合材料的复合工程、制造、设计、验证、表征/测试、性能、应用和环境可持续性相关的研究，涵盖多功能和智能复合材料、新型复合材料概念，以及仿生和生物基复合材料等领域。该期刊目前影响因子为14.2，优先收录实验研究与建模分析相平衡的原创成果。过度偏重独立化学/材料科学、缺乏实验验证及工程路径支撑的理论/数值建模研究不在收录范畴。此外，本刊诚邀聚焦聚合物基、陶瓷基与金属基复合材料领域的学术投稿。
