Teachingand Research
Xiao-XiangWang joined the School of materials science and engineering, ZhejiangUniversity in 1994 after finishing his Postdoctoral Fellowship. He givescourses of Biomedical Materials and Biomimetic Materials for the undergraduatestudents.
Heresearches in biomedical materials including titanium and titanium alloys fordental and orthopaedic implant, titanium-nickel shape memory alloy fororthodontics and Au-based and Co-based dental restorative materials. Thecorrosion resistance, bioactivity and biocompatibility of those metallicbiomaterials are his main research interests. Biomimetic coating ofhydroxyapatite, nacre and other biominerals is another research interest inrecent years.
